How does that saying go? "If life gives you lemons..."

This year I was blessed to marry my best friend; we then moved to a Caribbean island in pursuit of his passion (medicine).

Meanwhile, I maintained my full-time career, and added volunteering to my plate. I became certified throught the Aids Foundation to teach HIV/sexual disease prevention to teens (if you can talk about this with high school boys then you can talk about anything). I also found fulfillment in sharing the gift of reading to illiterate children who have migrated to our community.

Those that know me can confirm, sitting still is not my strong point. Maybe next year I will run the NYC Marathon....and "make lemonade."
